Alpha C.K. Art Gallery presents an exhibition by Glavkos Koumides. It is a retrospective presentation featuring a selection of paintings and sculptures. His exhibition opens on Thursday 18 March 2nd at 7:00 p.m.
This exhibition is a retrospective featuring a selection of the artist’s from the past twenty years. Paintings from three series are presented as well as a number of his characteristic sculptures and installations.
Glavkos Koumides was born in 195 in Nicosia. He studied architecture at the ΑΑ School of Architecture in London and psychology at Cologne University. His artwork has been presented in many personal and group exhibitions of engraving, paintings, sculptures, and art installations, in Cyprus and abroad.
He presented his work in numerous exhibition in Cyprus and abroad. In 1999 he represented Cyprus at the 48th Venice Biennale. His works are in the Cyprus State Collection, the Limassol Municipal Gallery, the Zampleas Museum and other public and private collection.
