Alpha C.K. Art Gallery presents Andreas Stylianou’s frist solo show in Cyprus YEAR ONE. The young Cypriot artist presents his work in Cyprus after a solo show in the Unisted States and his participation in numerous group shows in the US, Italy and Cyprus.
YEAR ONE is a commentary on art while implementing core artistic practices such as meditative drawing. A world is built through familiar imagery while exploring the intersection of pop culture, art history, and the reflection of self. Painting, sculpture and installation are utilised with materials not primarily used through the course of art history. The materials are chosen and manipulated in the most expedient way, to bring the intention to realisation.
