Alpha C.K Art Gallery is pleased to present the latest series of paintings by Christos Pallantzas, one of the leading Greek contemporary figurative painters.
In his latest work, the artist deals with his favourite subject, the human figure. The artist’s sensitive rendering of the human body and his interest in the lonely, isolated environment, void of irrelevant furnishings and minimal setting create atmospheric works of art which convey moods and feelings through colour, brush strokes and fleeting, momentary glimpses.
Christos Pallantzas was born in Larissa in 1962. He studied painting under professors Mytaras, Kokkinides and Kessanlis at the Academy of Fine Arts in Athens and continued with post-graduate studies at the Ecole National Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He has exhibited in work in numerous solo and group exhibitions and his works are in numerous public and private collections, most notably the National Gallery in Athens, the Kouvoutsakis Gallery and the Frissiras Museum.
The exhibition opens on Friday 5 December and continued through 17 December.
